Let the drums roll! I finally decided to update my blog. Woah! First of all, I installed the latest and greatest version of WordPress, and actually the 2.1. On the second hand, after such an improvement, I could not resist renewing the style. The good, old Postcards are gone. Now we have a brand new skin, got from Scott and called plaintxtblog. Actually, I modified it a lot as in some parts Scott did not use the standard wordpress API, thus causing some incompatibilities with the new db tables in WordPress 2.1. In particular, I found a nasty problem in the main page where the code was pointing to the linkcategories table (called by $wpdb->linkcategories in a SQL Query). I just removed it: the links should be got from the db in some other way, like the API function get_links_list(). This is much better and uses the API to be more futureproof.
Ok, I am still working on it. So, give me time to fix everything to my taste! 🙂
